چکیده

The utilization of by-products and waste materials to substitute for the natural or manufactured resources is considered as a practical way obtain green building materials. In concrete mixtures, amongst many available options, Fly Ash (FA) by-product pozzolan has been used partial replacement cement. As aggregates, lightweight agro-waste oil palm shell (OPS) can be conventional aggregate production concrete. present communication aims investigate impact FA on time-dependent development properties OPS concrete, including density, water absorption, compressive strength up 120-days, drying shrinkage age 365-days under standard moist curing, partially early non-curing conditions. Additionally, crack was investigated. this study, two series mixtures with different substitution levels (0%, 50%, 100%) were tested. From obtained results, it concluded that incorporation fly ash in reduces density values. Dually, initial final absorption values plus rate at long-term ages increased. On top that, high potential crack, especially 100% OPS, identified.

Evaluation of Coal Waste Ash and Rice Husk Ash on Properties of Pervious Concrete Pavement

The use of pervious concrete has been significantly considered in recent years. This consideration is due to the properties of pervious concrete in relating to the environmental sustainability that is utilized in the effective management of the runoff from rainfall. Coal extraction and rice husk obtained from milling, produces wastes that have no application and followed by environmental pollut...

Properties of Green Lightweight Aggregate Concrete

With increasing concern over the excessive exploitation of natural aggregates, synthetic lightweight aggregate produced from environmental waste is a viable new source of structural aggregate material. The uses of structural grade lightweight concrete reduce considerably the self-load of a structure and permit larger precast units to be handled. In this paper, the mechanical properties of a str...

Prediction of Lightweight Aggregate Concrete Compressive Strength

Nowadays, the better performance of lightweight structures during earthquake has resulted in using lightweight concrete more than ever. However, determining the compressive strength of concrete used in these structures during their service through a none-destructive test is a popular and useful method.  One of the main methods of non-destructive testing in the assessment of compressive strength...
